On February 4th the McClave FBLA Chapter competed in individual competitions at a district level. Eleven members competed to earn a place in the top three, which punched their tickets to the state FBLA competition.
Katie Bronniman, Katie Roesch, and Maggie Chase won first place in Broadcast Journalism, and Trace Cox and Abi Nidey took second place in Business Plan. Marisol Vazquez, Ariana Bolivar, and Rebeca Flores won third in Social Media Campaign. McKenzie Kiniston and Anna Beckett won third place in Publication Design while Ciara Solis won in Business Law. These FBLA members will compete at the state competition in April.
The McClave FBLA chapter participated in an exciting fundraiser to help fund the upcoming trip to state. Pink flamingos will be migrating around our area landing in yards in flocks of 24 or 12 flamingos. To flock a friend’s yard with a full flock of 24 was $30 and a flock of 12 was $20. Those not interested in having flamingos in their yard could purchase anti-flocking insurance for $10. (Article written by Abi Nidey in The Cardinal Connection)
